Nine Years!

Jason and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary on March 30.  He surprised me by setting up a reservation at The Chef's Table.  It was definitely the nicest place I've ever eaten.  The food was AMAZING, and looked more like a work of art than dinner.  I kept saying, "We are SO fancy!"

 

I love Jason so much.  There's something about having a person I can be completely 100% myself around.  I often tell him he's my  "comic relief", because I tend to over-plan and stress my way through life.  He makes me laugh, and I love him for it.  Happy Anniversary Babe!

Happy Birthday Joshua!

Joshua turned 6 on Tuesday.  He said it was his best birthday EVER, and he wants the exact same birthday next year. . . with new presents of course. =)

We made waffles for breakfast (his favorite), and then he took Star Wars cupcakes to his kindergarten class.  You should have seen the kid's reactions when he proudly presented them . . . it's like he was a rock star.  I had to laugh!

Then we went to '"Jungle Jims" and rode all kinds of rides, bumper cars, etc.  He pretty much thought he was in heaven.

I told him he could pick ANY restaurant he wanted for dinner.  Of course he chose. . . McDonalds. Nothing beats a happy meal!  Then we went home to eat cake and open presents.  He was spoiled rotten by family and friends, and I think he has every Star Wars toy they make.  Thank you everyone!!

  

We love Joshua so much.  He has taken on the role of oldest child with enthusiasm, and I'm amazed everyday at how quickly he's growing up.  Happy Birthday to our favorite little 6-year-old!

Fun with Family!

Last week, my family came to town for their spring break.  My sister and her husband also came down from Idaho to spend a few days with us.  We had SO much fun!  We played games, watched movies, went out to eat, shopped and went bowling together...

 

We love seeing family.  Now that everyone is gone, it's a little too quiet for my liking, but we are excited to get together again this summer.  Love you guys!!

He's One!

Ethan turned one on Saturday... one already... sigh.  Joshua and Livi declared that Ethan is now officially a "kid" like them.  (This of course made me cry.  Why are my kids growing up so fast?)  We had a big Birthday party with family, and Ethan was in heaven.  The chocolate cake, the balloons, the gift wrap... he couldn't get enough.

When I was pregnant with Ethan, I prayed that he would be a source of joy in our family, and to all those around him.  He is just that.  We often say, "Nobody can be sad around Ethan!"  We love him, and had so much fun celebrating his first year of life.  Happy Birthday sweet boy!
