He's 2!

Our little Ethanator turned two on Monday!  Jason took the day off work (a true miracle) and we had so much fun partying together.  We took the kids to a place called Kangaroo Zoo.  It's basically a room filled with inflatable toys for kids to ride, bounce and slide on.  Oh my gosh, they had so much fun . . .
I swear to you, Joshua and Livi put themselves in this pose and then said, "Mom! we're ready for a picture!"  Are they well-trained, or what? =)

Once the kids were sufficiently worn out, we headed home for a Toy Story party.  Ethan has two favorite movies (and by favorite movies, I mean he NEVER gets tired of watching them . . . EVER!)  He loves Tangled and Toy Story.  Since all things Tangled come in pink and purple, we settled on a Toy Story theme . . .
This is Ethan's "I'm trying not to smile" face.  He cracks me up!

I can't believe he's two!  Oh, how I wish time would slow down just a bit . . . We all know how blessed we are to have Ethan in our family.  He is pure joy.  The other night when Joshua was saying his prayers, I heard him say, "Heavenly Father, thank you so much for letting Ethan be my brother."  We love him more than words can say.  Happy Birthday Ethanator!

Slumber Party!

One reason the kids love living in Utah . . . slumber parties at Grandpa and Grandma Davis' house!  Jason's parents like to invite all the little cousins over to do crafts, jump on the trampoline, watch movies, play flashlight games and eat waffles . . . and occasionally they do sleep. =)  Nothing beats a slumber party at Grandpa and Grandma's!  I have to agree . . . I 'm always happy to drop Joshua and Livi off for the night, seeing as Grandpa and Grandma live conveniently close to the mall!  Hooray for slumber parties!

The Ethanator

Ethan has a nickname in our family . . . "The Ethanator" . . .  because he seriously destroys EVERYTHING in his path.  I cannot keep up with this boy and his curiosity!  Joshua and Livi have taken to locking their bedroom doors to keep their "valuables" safe, and I have to watch him like a hawk at all times.  In one day he wrote all over my dining room table with a permanent marker, learned to climb out of his crib, emptied a brand new tube of toothpaste onto the bathroom counter, and spilled a tub of yogurt on my living room carpet.  And yet, this boy has me completely wrapped around his little finger.  All he has to do is smile, and I melt.  I cannot be mad at him for even a second.  I love my little Ethanator!

Guy's Night Out

As part of his basketball season, Joshua was given two tickets to a UVU basketball game.  He was so excited when Jason took the night off to go to the game with him.  They had fun cheering for the team, eating ice-cream, and catching a frisbee that was thrown into the crowd.   Joshua also picked up some cool basketball moves from the UVU players.  It's been hilarious to watch him put those moves to use in his games.  Go Wolverines!

Blue Lemon 3.0

Jason recently opened a new location for Blue Lemon in Cottonwood Heights.  They call this third location "Blue Lemon 3.0", and it is seriously beautiful.  Everything is high-tech and streamlined . . .We love it!  Jason has worked so hard the last three months to prepare for the grand opening: hiring and training a new staff, perfecting the menu, working with construction crews, ordering every little kitchen gadget you can imagine, marketing for a new location . . . the list goes on and on.  We've hardly seen him.  They had two VIP nights to celebrate the grand opening, and it was fun to see all his hard work finally come together.  A few pictures of the restaurant . . .

Real lemon trees growing in the front lobby . . .

I don't even know how many flat-screens are in the place . . . I stopped counting.

The drink machines that were made by Ferrari . . . it only took me forever to figure out how to use them!

The food (enough said) . . .

We are so excited Jason was given this opportunity.  It has been a great learning experience for both of us.  If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and check it out . . . and don't you dare leave without a sugar cookie.  Oh my gosh, my mouth waters just thinking of them!

M.I.A.

Life . . . has been SO busy the last couple months.  We have a lot of exciting changes coming to our family, and I have honestly been in survival mode trying to keep up with all those changes.  Blogging had to be put on hold for a bit.  But now I'm back!  My goal is to get caught up in the next few days, so stay tuned . . . I'm certain you're on the edge of your seat with excitement. =)
