First Day of School!

We are in full school-mode now!  This means setting out clothes at night, waking up early to make lunches, lots of homework and after-school clubs . . . We LOVE it all!  Seriously, I'm one of those people that just loves everything about school and I think it's rubbed off on my kids. =)   Here they are on their first day:

Olivia
First Grade- Miss Abriel
Favorite thing about school: art projects

Joshua
Third Grade- Ms. Mueller
Favorite thing about school: writing stories

I love these two!  It's been an adjustment having both of them gone all day, but I'm also really proud of them and the good little students they are becoming.  Hooray for school!

Rodeo Fun!

When my sister, Tara, was in town this summer, we decided to take the kids to the Spanish Fork Rodeo.  I had never been to a rodeo before.  I have to say, it was actually really fun!  Normally, bull-riding and cowboy boots aren't really my thing . . . but we had so much fun being together, eating the awesome rodeo food (homemade donuts = happiness) and watching the fireworks afterword.  We've decided we need to make it a family tradition!

Some pictures of the fun:

Now that I've been to a rodeo, I'd say I'm totally an official cowgirl . . . Yee Haw! =)

Birthday Fun!

I was lucky enough to have all my sisters in town for my 31st birthday this year.  My mom took us to lunch at Johnny Rockets to celebrate.  It was a blast!  We always have fun when we're together . . .

Of course no birthday lunch is complete without a complimentary dessert and some cheesy singing . . .

Jesica was disappointed they didn't give me an embarrassing hat to wear, so she found this one in a kid's meal.  Lucky me . . .

Having my sisters here made my birthday so special.  I love you guys!

Born to Cheer!

This summer, we signed Livi up for a cheerleading class.  She absolutely loved every minute of it!  The girl was BORN to cheer . . . ok, I may be a little biased on that. =)

At the end of the summer, the girls did a performance for their parents.  Livi was nervous, but she did a great job!

After the performance, each of the girls received a certificate and got to show her favorite cheer move to the audience:

 Posing with her coaches:

We love our little cheerleader.  Go Big Purple!!

Baby Shower Time!

My youngest sister, Tara, is having a baby boy in November.  It's crazy to me . . . she was only 14 when I became a mom!   We threw her a baby shower to celebrate the little bun in her oven.  Since it was summer (Yes, I am THAT far behind on my blogging!), we decided to do a lemonade theme.  My mom, Jesica and I worked day and night to get ready for it, and we couldn't have been happier with how it all came together!  Hooray for Parties!
