Happy Birthday Chewbie!

Logan (A.K.A. "Chewbie") turned two the end of May.  We can hardly believe it!  We celebrated his big day with friends and family at our neighborhood splash pad.  After watching all his siblings celebrate their Birthdays, he was excited that it was finally his special day!

If you tell him to smile, this is the face you get . . .

Chwbie has this obsession with superheroes right now, so we surprised him with an Avengers cake.  He LOVED it!

Then it was present time!

Logan is just pure joy.  He's smart as a whip, and he can get away with anything because he is so completely adored by us all.  Happy Birthday Chewbie!  We love you!!

Ninja Assassins!

Joshua recently finished his last season with the Green Ninja Assassins.  They had an awesome season and Joshua grew a lot as a player.  He's going to miss all the friends he made.  At his last game, a scout invited him to join a competitive club team.  We went back and forth for days trying to decide what to do.  We knew the club team would be an incredible opportunity, but it meant leaving a team he loved, and it meant a HUGE commitment both on Joshua's part and on our part as his parents.  We left the decision up to him.  One night I found Joshua awake in his bed, using his book light to make a T-chart with the pros and cons of each team (one thing he got from me . . . a love of list-making!)  The next morning he told me he wanted to go for it!  We are excited to cheer him on in this next phase of his "soccer career".

We'll miss you Ninja Assassins!

A Birthday fit for a Princess!

Our princess turned 7 in May.  I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday, and she immediately said, "I want to go to a real-life spa, and then I want to eat lunch at a place with flowers on the table!"  I laughed because this answer was just so Olivia.  She's a girl through and through, and that's what I love about her!

My sisters were in town for our Girl's Week, so they decided to join us on our spa outing, and then for lunch.  Livi got the royal treatment with her very first pedicure.  She loved spending time with the girls!

After lunch, we went home for cake and presents.  Olivia picked out the perfect cake for her girly day.

Present time!!

Olivia . . . she's just the light of my life!  I often tell Jason if I'm only going to have one girl I'm so glad it's Livi, because she's everything I could ask for in a daughter!  Happy Birthday Princess!  I love you so much!!

Girl's Week! Woot Woot!!

In the last couple years, my family has seen A LOT of changes.  We are now spread out all over the country . . . five kids living in five different states!  It's been hard to be so far away from one another. My mom decided we were in desperate need of a girl's week.  So Jesica left her girls in Arkansas with Chris, and Tara flew in from Massachusetts with baby Landon.  It was just what we needed.  We went shopping, ate at all our favorite restaurants, did a session at the temple, spent a day at Women's Conference, got pedicures, went to movies, and played our favorite game of all time . . . Mall Madness!!

It was an awesome week!  There's nothing better than staying up 'til morning talking and laughing with my sisters.  We rarely get to be together, but the moment we are it's like no time has passed at all.  I love you guys!!
