Wedding Fun
We traveled to Utah this week for my brother's wedding. The drive was...interesting? Let's just say we discovered all our children get seriously car sick. Once we finally arrived, things went great. We stayed with Jason's parents, and they spoiled us rotten with tons of attention, yummy food, and gifts for the kids.
On Saturday, Ryan and Brittney were married in the Salt Lake temple (Congrats you guys!!) It was a beautiful wedding and reception. I had fun catching up with my family, and we made it through the night with relatively few tantrums-only like six or seven (pretty good I'd say).
In three months we will be back in Utah for my sister's wedding. We can't wait to see everyone again. (Oh, and we'll definitely remember the Dramomine this time!)

Happy Birthday to Me!
Saturday was my 28th birthday, and it was seriously a great birthday... The day before, My mom and I had our hair done, went shopping, and ate our favorite strawberry salads at Panera (Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering at the mere thought). On Saturday, Jason took me to dinner, out for more shopping, and we had a party with the kids. Joshua informed me I am "a lot of years old."
I guess I just felt really loved this birthday. With all the phone calls and cards, I realized how blessed I am to have so many people around me who care about me. Thanks for a wonderful birthday everyone!

Giddyup Cowboy!
Joshua was invited to be in a summer preschool program as a "peer mentor" this summer. He had his parent presentation this week. He and his friends made their own cowboy outfits, and then sang cowboy songs for the audience and enjoyed root beer floats. I had to include a picture because he looked so darn cute all dressed up like a cowboy. =)

A Rainy 4th
Our 4th of July was a little gloomy this year... it rained ALL day and night, and there was even a tornado warning. The kids were determined to see fireworks, so we drove our SUV into a big, open field and watched them from the car (with the windshield wipers going a mile a minute). It's actually almost laughable now that I think back on it. As we were driving home from fireworks, Joshua declared, "That was not very fun Mom." At least we were together. =)
