Last night, Jason sent me a text from work...
"Can you get the kids ready to go to my parents? I arranged everything and we're going to a Jazz game tonight, just me and you, K? Love you!"
Once I got over the shock (Jason is NEVER able to get away from work on a Friday night), I jumped up and down, clapping my hands. I love date nights!
The game was a blast. We had great seats, and Jason even gave Steve Nash a high-five...
(By the way, Steve Nash has REALLY sweaty hands)
After the game, we stopped by In-N-Out for Neapolitan shakes and fries, and our night was complete. It was fun to spend time with my hubby. Hooray for date nights!

Brick Oven
When we found out we were moving back to Utah, I got excited to visit all the places you can only find in Utah... one of those being Brick Oven. I worked there when Jason and I were dating (oh my gosh, that feels like FOREVER ago), and I really needed some good broccoli soup. We finally went there a few days ago to celebrate our nephew's Birthday. Happy Birthday Joey! The kids were more interested in balloons and suckers than lunch, but it was fun nonetheless. I haven't been to the B.O. in four years, and you know what? It hasn't changed ONE BIT. Now that I've been to Cafe Rio and Brick Oven, I'm ready to hit Magleby's Fresh (OK, so I just realized my list of places to visit in Utah is 90% restaurants... yum).

Our Pet...
Since Joshua and Livi don't have a pet (and they won't ANY time in the near future), they have made Ethan their honorary pet. They love to chase him around the house giving commands like, "Sit pet!" or "Roll over pet!" Then, when he follows their commands, they reward him with a treat. His latest trick is standing on his own- this one earns a treat and lots of praise... "What a good pet!!"
Ethan loves all the attention. Now if only we could get this pet of ours housetrained...

Our Reluctant Sunbeam...
It's a new year. That means no more nursery for Olivia. Her first week in Sunbeams, she was a bit shocked... No toys? No bubbles? No twirling time?! Five minutes into primary, Livi's teacher brought her to my Sunday School class saying she needed to use the potty. The moment we got to the bathroom, I realized this was actually a ploy to speak to me in private. She pulled me down to her level and whispered urgently, "Mommy, I do NOT like my new class. I want to go back to my old class RIGHT NOW." I spent the next five minutes persuading her that Sunbeams is the greatest class ever (some bribery may have been involved, but I'll never admit it). This week was much better. Thank goodness... our candy supply is running low. =)
