#1- Time Together
For the first time in 4 years, it was just the two of us. No work, no kids, no distractions ... it was awesome! I think we remembered how much we love one another. Everyone at the resort thought we were honeymooners, and in a way it really felt like we were.
#2- The Scenery
The resort was BEAUTIFUL! Everywhere we looked there were coconut trees and tropical flowers. We would sit in the hammock outside our room and just stare at the view.
#3- Awesome Food
The resort was all-inclusive, meaning we could have all the food and drinks we wanted and we didn't have to pay a thing. As you can imagine, we took full advantage of this! We ate dinner at 3 different restaurants in one night, and I ate so much fruit it was ridiculous! The drinks were amazing- our favorite being a drink called the "Miami Vice" ... virgin of course. :-)
#4- The Pools
The resort had 9 different pools to visit. Our favorite was a pool with a swim-up bar, so we could order our "Miami Vice" drinks while we swam. Surrounding the pools were giant outdoor beds to lay out on. We just kept saying to one another, "Seriously ... this is the life!"
#5- The Romance
When the resort discovered we were celebrating our 7th anniversary, they did their best to make our trip romantic ... towel art on our bed each morning, flower petals in the bathtub, a candle-lit dinner on the beach, and even massages under the stars. Does it get any better than that?!
#6- The Beach!
This was my first time at a beach. We had so much fun playing in the sand, wading in the water, and laying out in the sun! It was amazing to look out and see so much water. We definitely need to go back soon!
To sum it all up ...
Especially when it's free!!

We are jealous too, such a luxury to have all the food you want, massages, romantic little surprises etc. We're so glad you had so much fun, the resort and beach look beautiful. Did you have to listen to any time share presentations?? or did you buy a time share while you were there? tempting I bet. Hey Jas, can you win us a trip like that, we all know that you have just about the best luck in the family for winning stuff.
This was not a time share gig, I won this trip through my work for selling the most gift cards as a percentage of sales out of nearly 500 stores. It had to be done during the holiday promotion season. I always knew I should be in sales, it just seems I've incorporated one of my other loves into my career as well...FOOD! I'm planning on winning it next year too, so stay tuned for next year's post! We can't wait, this trip was truly amazing, you really have no idea!!!
Wow! That sounds like a serious dream come true trip! You make me thing that I need a real vacation like that! I'm so glad you had a chance to celebrate in style!

OH MY GOSH!! You guys must have had so much fun! I can't believe how incredibly lucky you are. :) I'm glad you got to have a break and enjoy some great times together...you'll never forget it!
