Paradise!

Jason and I returned yesterday from our trip to El Dorado Royale- a resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. We had the most amazing time! Here are 6 things we loved most about our trip ...

#1- Time Together For the first time in 4 years, it was just the two of us. No work, no kids, no distractions ... it was awesome! I think we remembered how much we love one another. Everyone at the resort thought we were honeymooners, and in a way it really felt like we were.
#2- The Scenery The resort was BEAUTIFUL! Everywhere we looked there were coconut trees and tropical flowers. We would sit in the hammock outside our room and just stare at the view.
#3- Awesome Food The resort was all-inclusive, meaning we could have all the food and drinks we wanted and we didn't have to pay a thing. As you can imagine, we took full advantage of this! We ate dinner at 3 different restaurants in one night, and I ate so much fruit it was ridiculous! The drinks were amazing- our favorite being a drink called the "Miami Vice" ... virgin of course. :-)
#4- The Pools The resort had 9 different pools to visit. Our favorite was a pool with a swim-up bar, so we could order our "Miami Vice" drinks while we swam. Surrounding the pools were giant outdoor beds to lay out on. We just kept saying to one another, "Seriously ... this is the life!"
#5- The Romance When the resort discovered we were celebrating our 7th anniversary, they did their best to make our trip romantic ... towel art on our bed each morning, flower petals in the bathtub, a candle-lit dinner on the beach, and even massages under the stars. Does it get any better than that?!
#6- The Beach! This was my first time at a beach. We had so much fun playing in the sand, wading in the water, and laying out in the sun! It was amazing to look out and see so much water. We definitely need to go back soon!
To sum it all up ... Especially when it's free!!

Soccer Time!

Joshua had his first soccer game on Saturday. He couldn't wait to get out on the field and "score some goals!" He's the smallest little player on the team, but he is most definitely not afraid to fight for the ball. We had fun cheering him on, and I even get to be the team mom (even though I have no idea what a team mom does!) Here's to a great soccer season!

Mini-Me's

A stranger stopped us in the mall and said, "Wow. That's crazy. it's like you each have a little mini-me!" What's funny is the similarities don't stop with our looks ...
The Boys ... Have more energy than they know what to do with, love to make people laugh, and tell stories with so much detail it's crazy!

The girls ... Crave anything and everything girly, love to laugh and be entertained, and want things to be done "their" way (the best way really). :-)

Bossy, Bossy!

Livi adores my parent's dog, "Peanut." When we arrive at their house, the first things she says is, "Where Dog?" She loves to chase him around the house, stuff him with doggie treats, and most of all ... boss him around. We will hear her in the next room saying, "Come here doggie!" or, "No crying!" Then she sighs in frustration. Poor Peanut.

Woo Hoo!

We recently learned that Jason won a contest through his job, and the prize is an all-inclusive trip to Mexico!! We are just a little excited... ok, that's a total understatement! We were never able to go on a honeymoon, so we plan to spend our seventh anniversary (the end of March) on the beach! This trip will be a first for us ... our first vacation together, my first passport, and the first time I will see a beach. Viva la Mexico!
