Tiger

Joshua has had this stuffed Tiger (whom he creatively named "Tiger") since he was a baby.  Tiger has been his dearest and most loyal friend.  He is with Joshua at ALL times . . . and he is seriously disgusting.  Jason can't stand him.  He is constantly trying to bribe Joshua to get rid of Tiger, or "the rat" as he calls him.  Finally, Jason came up with a bribe that sparked Joshua's interest . . .  a cell phone.  Joshua has been begging us for a cell phone for forever.  Jason told him he could have his old iPhone (with no cell service- just to use for games) if Joshua got rid of Tiger.  Joshua went back and forth for days trying to decide what to do.  Finally he made his decision.   We took one last picture of the two friends together, then he gave Tiger a long hug and lovingly placed him in the trash can.  It seriously broke my heart.

As soon as Joshua went to bed, I took Tiger out of the trash can and put him in a safe place for when Joshua gets older . . . I just couldn't bear the thought of his dearest and most loyal friend spending the night in the trash can.

Dalby Family Fun

All my siblings came to Utah for Christmas and New Year's.  We had a lot of fun playing games, stuffing our faces, and just catching up with one another.  We decided to brave the snow one day and do some sledding . . .

We also did a Girl's Night at the movies . . .

And we celebrated the New Year in style . . .

We love our Dalby Fam and we're already missing them like crazy.  Come back everyone!!

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas this year was super busy, but a ton of fun!  All my family was in town and together for the first time in almost four years . . . more on that later though!  Here are some pictures from our Christmas festivities:

The kids got to sit on Santa's lap at our ward Christmas party (Except for Joshua who decided he is too old for that kind of thing now!) . . .

All dressed up for Christmas Sunday . . .

At Grandma Dalby's house for Christmas Eve dinner . . .

Nothing cuter than kids in Christmas jammies . . .

Letters to Santa . . .

Olivia's letter was especially sweet . . .

And as usual, Santa spoiled the kids rotten . . .

We had an exciting morning seeing what Santa brought the kids, and then opening our gifts under the tree.  But of all the gifts we received, this one was our very favorite . . .

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Mission Accomplished!

Just before Christmas, my youngest brother, Brad, returned from his mission in Virginia.  We were all so excited to pick him up from the airport.  Joshua and Livi remembered Uncle Brad, but the little boys were too young when he left.  All they knew of him was that we prayed for him every night in our family prayers.

He came home a different person.  Seriously . . . we kept saying how grown up he was!  It was so much fun to spend time with him and hear all about his mission.

Welcome Home Elder Dalby!  We love you!!
