Baby Lessons

For F.H.E. we have been having baby lessons with the kids. They've learned how to hold the baby, how to be gentle with him, and most importantly ... how to stay away from him when Jason and I aren't there to supervise (This baby is in for a real treat with two "helpful" siblings). They are so excited to see their little brother. Joshua continues to come up with interesting names for the baby. His favorites: Joshua #2, Luke Skywalker, and Joseph Smith. Livi insists we name the baby "Baby" (she gets her creativity from me). Let's hope the lessons pay off when our little one arrives!

Heart Day!

We had some fun Valentine's activities this year. Joshua had a party at preschool, and got to pick out cards for his friends. I think I was as excited as he was ... it's like I'm reliving my childhood. He chose Spiderman cards and decorated his bag with Star Wars stickers and drawings of jedi ships and lightsabers (I know you're all shocked, right?) Livi has to do everything Joshua does, so I let her decorate her own Valentine's bag with Tinkerbell stickers. Notice her tummy is completely covered in marker, which explains the removal of her shirt. =) Jason and I went to lunch on Monday, and had fun talking about our past Valentine's (this is our tenth spent together). The food was yummy, and we even squeezed in some dessert (special occasions call for some squeezing)! Happy Valentine's Day from the Davis Family!!

The Dentist

I took Joshua and Olivia to the dentist last week. This was Livi's fist visit ... it went about as well as I expected ... which means not well at all. She was excited to be in a new place, and the waiting room had some great toys. I was feeling optimistic. We let her watch Joshua first, since he loves going to the dentist for some reason? He was perfect. He had his teeth cleaned and checked with no problems. He even told me the fluoride was yummy (who's kid is he?) Then it was time for Livi to be in the chair. Our stubborn little girl refused to open her mouth. They finally gave her a bright pink toothbrush and managed to get a tiny bit of fluoride onto her teeth. This was her reaction: I can't wait for our next appointment!

Hooray for Half B-days!

Jason had his half-Birthday on Thursday ... which means we get chocolate cake! We love chocolate cake. =) Happy half-Birthday Babe!
