The Tooth Fairy

Last week, we took the kids to visit the dentist. He took one look inside Joshua's mouth and noticed one of his back teeth was completely broken in half. "Has there been a time in the last six months that he may have been rough-housing or something?" he asked us. Hmm ... let me think ... only EVERY day. So basically we have no idea when it happened, and we feel like rotten parents because the dentist informed us it must have hurt a lot. On Tuesday, Joshua had the tooth pulled. Any pain that may have occurred was minimized by the fact that he would receive a visit from the Tooth Fairy. He can't wait to spend his loot. Gotta love that fairy!

Jack

Yesterday, we carved our Halloween pumpkin for family night. The process went something like this ...

Step #1: Brainstorm (Not too sure about that purple ...) Step #2: Make a Huge Mess (And I do mean a HUGE mess!) Step #3: Name the Pumpkin ... "Jack" (Aren't we seriously the most creative family ever?!) Step #4: Sing Happy Birthday to the pumpkin (Not normally a step, but Livi INSISTED) Happy Halloween Jack!

Zoo Day

We took the kids to the Denver Zoo a few days ago. The weather was beautiful, and it was a perfect day to go. I thought Joshua and Livi would die of excitement on the car ride there. They wanted me to inform them the minute I could see the zoo from my window. Jason is seriously the best person to go to the zoo with. He gets just as excited over the animals as the kids do. We saw baby tiger cubs, and a new baby seal. Livi thought every animal was "so cute!" ... even the big, ugly fish in Tropical Discovery. In the end, after seeing lions, monkeys, elephants and giraffes, the kids informed me their favorite animal was the Pigme Elephant Shrew (a hideous animal that looks like a large rat with an elephant trunk) ...I wasn't expecting that one. =)

Bridal Shower!

My sister, Tara, is getting married next month. She flew into town this past weekend, along with my other sister, so we could throw her a bridal shower. It was everything we love ... yummy food, girly decorations, and lots of "That is SO cute!" gifts. I love spending time with my sisters, and I miss them already. Come back!!

My banner that I spent close to forever making. It's the price we pay for cuteness! All the sistas (We actually dropped her twice attempting this pose!) Ethan loving being surrounded by cute girls and gift wrap. =) All the siblings together at Texas Roadhouse. So fun!
