Merry Christmas!!
Happy Holidays from the Davis Family! It was a beautiful Christmas here in Colorado. It came quickly for Jason and I, but the kids thought Santa was never going to come!
We spent Christmas Eve at my parent's. The kids decorated cookies and wrote letters for Santa. Then we had our Christmas program and stayed up watching movies. Joshua couldn't sleep, he was so excited for the next morning. He kept shaking his gifts and declaring each one to be legos (even the coloring book). Livi had fun running around in her jammies all night.
Christmas morning, the kids were beyond excited to see Santa had come. Joshua got his Star Wars legos and a light saber. Olivia got a new baby doll that talks and giggles (though she was more interested in the candy that filled her stocking). Opening gifts was a blast. After each gift, Joshua would say, "That's just what I always wanted!" One of his favorites was a fort from his Grandpa and Grandma.
It was a fabulous Christmas, and we are looking forward to the new year!

Here Comes Santa Claus!!
The kids met Santa Claus at our Ward Christmas Party. Livi was completely terrified, but Joshua was excited to give Santa his wish list. His list included the following: Star Wars legos, Indiana Jones legos, and Mission to Mars legos. Unfortunately, he was under the impression that Santa would give him his Christmas gifts right then and there. There were a few tears after he learned the truth. When you're a kid, Christmas can never come soon enough!

Sunshine and Turkey
Our family spent Thanksgiving in Arizona with Jason's parents and 6 of his siblings. There were 33 people sleeping in one house, and our time was filled with yummy food, great company, and beautiful weather (Only in Arizona would we go swimming after Thanksgiving dinner!)
The kids and I cheered for Jason in the Turkey Bowl Thursday morning ... until it started to rain. Then we were out of there. (I guess we aren't the most loyal fans.)
Joshua was in heaven playing with his 15 cousins. I don't think we even saw him for most of the trip. They made sand castles, jumped on the trampoline, played "jedi school" with their light sabers, and built some impressive lego ships.
Jason had fun teasing his sisters and making them laugh while they cooked Thanksgiving dinner.
The kids made candy turkeys to put at each plate for Thanksgiving dinner. Joshua couldn't get enough of it. His plate eventually held 7 turkey masterpieces.
Jason showed off his culinary skills by creating some of his favorite Qdoba recipes for the family one night.
Saturday, the girls threw a little baby shower at PF Changs for Linsey. The restaurant was probably glad when we left, as we couldn't help exclaiming "awww, how cute!!" every time she opened a gift. It was a blast!
Jason's phone conveniently lost power for most of the trip so he was able to forget work and just have fun with us. It was a great trip!
