First Swim of the Season!

We are SO happy to see the weather warming up. The kids couldn't wait to go swimming at the pool ... and so we had our first swim of the season. Woo Hoo! We will probably spend a lot of time there this summer (They always take great naps when we're done, making their mom extra happy). We love summer!

Bowling Fun

We took the kids bowling for the first time. It was hilarious! When we gave Joshua his bowling shoes, he said, "These shoes are awesome!" They didn't have shoes or a ball small enough for Livi, so she basically just cheered us on and gave a million high-fives throughout the night. I won't tell you our final scores because that would be humiliating, but let's just say Joshua was winning for most of the game. I guess we need to brush up on our skills. :-)

Smile!

I took the kids in for pictures a couple weeks ago- Joshua for his 4 year photos, and Livi for her 2 year photos. There is truly nothing more stressful than a portrait studio! At least we got some cute shots out of it. :-)

Mom Day

I had a fabulous Mother's Day. Jason and the kids spoiled me rotten. They surprised me with flowers, candy, cards and a custom-made necklace by Joshua (Very Fancy!) My favorite part of the day was lying in bed, listening to them make breakfast for me. Jason was trying to be all quiet and secretive, but that's pretty much impossible with our kids. It made me laugh. I feel so blessed to be a Mom!

Happy Birthday Livi!

Livi turned 2 today! We had a fun-filled weekend to celebrate. Yesterday, we took her to Build-A-Bear, and she was IN HEAVEN! I think she hugged every animal in the store. After some tough decision-making (There were walls and walls of outfits and accessories ... how's a girl to choose?), she picked a Tinkerbell costume, complete with wand and wings. Today we had family over for dinner and a princess party. She loved opening her gifts and blowing out the candle on her cake ... 4 times. Happy Birthday Livi! We love you!!

Growing Up

Now that Joshua is 4, we decided it's time to say goodbye to "Blankie". He has been a good friend over the years, but is frankly disgusting. Last night, Jason had a long talk with Joshua about it. After some tears, he finally put his beloved Blankie into the garbage can. Four hours later, when we went to check on the kids, there was Blankie. Joshua had snuck him out of the garbage can and into his bed. Growing up is hard to do!

The Princess

Since the day Olivia was born, we have called her "Princess." I think the title has gone a bit to her head ... -She loves to look "pretty." She is constantly putting on my jewelry, rummaging through my makeup, and trying on new shoes at the store (I can only imagine what she'll be like as a teenager!)

-She loves to be in charge and boss people around.

-She makes an excellent damsel in distress. When I walk through the front door, she says "Mom!" Then she falls to the ground and raises her hand to me, whispering in her best princess voice, "help." (So dramatic!)

-She loves to sing and twirl in her pretty dresses.
