Hague Family Reunion 2013

In July, we went to Bear Lake for a Hague Family Reunion (my Mom's side of the family).  We stayed in the Papa Bear Lodge again . . . it was so much fun!  This was our last reunion at Bear Lake, and I was feeling pretty nostalgic about it.  We've had so many good memories there, and we are going to miss it.  Here are a gazillion pictures of our time there . . .

It was so much fun to see everyone!  The Hague's are spread out all over the country, and it is rare that we get together.  We appreciated every moment we had with them.  We love Bear Lake!

The Rotten Egg

One Sunday morning, Jason was trying to get the kids to put their church clothes on.  He said something to the effect of, "The last person to get dressed is a rotten egg!"  Since that moment, Ethan has been convinced that being a rotten egg is a great privilege.  It doesn't matter how many times we've tried to explain the whole "rotten egg" concept, his mind is made up.  So now you can hear us say things like, "Ethan, if you clean up your room you get to be the rotten egg!" or "Ethan, if you finish your breakfast we'll let you be the rotten egg!"  It works like a charm every time.  Funny kid!

The 4th!

We had an awesome Independence Day this year!  We had a lot of family in town, both from my side and Jason's, so the day was packed.  It was so fun to see everyone though!

Jason had to work, but the kids and I went to my parent's house for a waffle breakfast in the morning. My Aunt and Uncle came from Colorado with their kids (who are the same ages as my kids), and we spent the morning chatting and eating . . . My Dad is a master waffle maker.  My kids can't get enough of them!

Then we drove to Springville for a BBQ with Jason's family.  His older brother and sister drove all the way from Arizona with their families.  We ate lots of yummy food, jumped on the trampoline, celebrated with a piƱata and had our own fireworks show.  It was seriously so much fun!

We had to get a picture of all the cousins:

We are so blessed to live in this country.  Happy Independence Day everyone!!

Olivia had her end-of-the-year concert at school.  Her kindergarten class prepared for this concert all year, and she was very excited to show us what she had learned . . .

He's One!!

On May 26th, our Logan (AKA "Logi" or "Chewby") turned one!  I can hardly believe it . . . it seems like he was just born.  We were excited to have a party to celebrate Logi becoming a big boy!

Ethan told me Logan wanted an Elmo cake for his birthday, so we found this one:

Ethan was right.  Logan loved it!

The aftermath of a good Birthday cake:

After the cake, Logan opened his presents.  He got all the things he loves most . . . binkies, sippy cups, balls and lots of fun toys.

Logan is such a funny little guy.  We love him to pieces.  Seriously . . . we all just adore him.  Our family wouldn't be complete without him.  Happy first Birthday Chewby!!
